“The human spirit is the lamp of the LORD that sheds light on one’s inmost being.”

We decided to give up on our first goal of finishing the hike.
Our secondary goal of the hike was to capture photos of birds.
While we lost completing the hike, God gave us victory for our secondary goal.
We are grateful to Him for this Victory.
Celebrate The Wins
While there are battles taking place–in my life, in my heart, and in my soul–it would be unfair to pretend, God did not give me victories, also.
Victories need to be celebrated. They are crucial for building morale.

The First Victory I Need To Celebrate
My family spent this extended weekend together.
A year ago, I was not married & I certainly did not have a family to spend ANY weekend with.
So that is the first victory I need to celebrate & Thank God For.
“The spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD,
Searching all the inner depths of his heart.”
Victory #2: College Acceptances
I left law school in my third semester, November of 2024.
Since leaving law school, I need to Thank God For giving me not one, but two separate college acceptances.
First, in December I got officially accepted at WGU’s Master of Science in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance program.
While I ultimately did not enroll, the door to enroll did open. It was not a 100 percent acceptance Master’s degree, but instead had prerequisite criteria that I was able to meet with God’s foresight & planning from my Bachelor’s Degree program, years before.
Second, I applied to a Dual Degree program at Eastern University. I got accepted into both their (1) MBA & (2) M.S. in Data Science program. While I have been technically accepted into both programs simultaneously, I am still praying over these decisions.
Even if I do not officially start either of these programs, I need to Thank God For providing the victories for college acceptances.

A Third Victory
For the past couple of months, I have had provision & sustenance from God. He provided a way for me to buy groceries, buy supplies for the house, a reasonably priced place to live near my wives parents, & a brand-new dog. All of this was provided on money that was saved that God knew I would need.
Our dog, Kya, has provided much needed affection as I have written many of these posts. But the affection she has provided to me, has been amplified to my wife, step-son, and step-daughter. Not to mention my wives, parents & grand-parents love holding & sneaking food to Kya.
Kya has also helped me fall back in love with animals. My love for animals began when I was younger. However, since I have spent so much time relocating in the past fifteen years, it has been very difficult to have animals with me. I am so grateful for Kya. I am so grateful for this family friend.

“The LORD’s light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive.”
