2 Samuel 5:1-5 (ESV): “Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, ‘Behold, we are your bone and flesh. In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. And the LORD said to you, “You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince over Israel.” ‘ So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel. David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. At Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and at Jerusalem he reigned over all Israel and Judah thirty-three years.”
2 Samuel 5:10-12 (ESV): “And David became greater and greater, for the LORD, the God of hosts, was with him. And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, also carpenters and masons who built David a house. And David knew that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.”
God, thank You that you fulfill your promises. Thank You that You Annoint men like David to lead. Thank You that You are All-Mighty, All-Knowing, and Always Present. I ask God that you raise up a new generation of leaders. That you anoint mighty men like David to lead America, to lead your World, to lead countries, towns, and cities to be closer to Your Presence. God You Make All Things Good Because You Are All Good.
Make me a mighty man like David. Make me more like Jesus. Make me a good husband, a good father, a good man. Make me a mighty warrior and lover. Make me a man after Your Heart.
GOD I NEED YOU. Help me to serve you and others. Help me to love everything & everyone. Help me because I need You. I can not do any of it without You. I can not be sustained without Your breathe of life, air, and love. God grant me sustenance. Grant me a daily bread till the end of my days and for all my years. Provide me a portion, forever. God help me to love greater and more.
God You Can Do All Things.
