Proverbs 27:8 (ESV) – “Like a bird that strays from its nest is a man who strays from his home.”

Proverbs 27:8 (NASB)– “Like a bird that wanders from its nest, So is a person who wanders from his home.”
A strong temptation awaits a person who leaves their home angry or without God’s purpose. It is not wise to leave the place God has for us, until it is clear the Holy Spirit is asking us to leave. It is wise not for man to be distracted. It wise for man not to be a deserter.
The nest & the home are places that man raises a family. While every moment is not perfect, God is working in the place He brought you to be.
Everything in this world has a place that God has intended for it to be. There is a difference between aimless wandering & Holy-Spirit led wandering. Both can lead to trials, but only aimless wandering leads further into temptation. The Holy Spirit is likely not asking you to leave your family. It is possible, but it is not likely.
Again, before you go off on a wild new adventure, leaving your home & spouse & family behind, hesitate. Pray over it, ask for council, ask God to reveal the truth.
When God brings us into a difficult situation, He provides what we need to see it through with Him. We will NOT need to perform illegal or immoral activities to survive. We will NOT need to blasphme His name. We will not be lead into adultery. We will not be lead further into immorality. God’s Will for our life is to Honor Him first & love our neighbors second.
So next time you feel the desire to chase temptations or find a new home, hesitate. Ask God to reveal His truth.
