In the span of one minute, so much can change.
Words, once spoken, can not be taken back.
However, new words can breathe new life into a dying situation. Into a situation where all hope seems lost.
Loving someone, even when you love imperfectly, is always worth the risk. Loving someone, even when you love imperfectly, is always worth the inevitable loss.
Loving someone carries with it the weight of a million words yet to be spoken & a million words that were already spoken. Loving someone requires constantly being new.
The pain of heartache is real. The pain of heartache is harsh. The pain of heartache is worth it, for the reward of two heart’s becoming one is a feeling that can never be replaced.
It can be a struggle to keep going after a loss. It really can.
However, looking back on my entire life with all my mistakes, I needed all of them to be who I am becoming today. I wish I could have loved better. I wish I could have loved better. I wish I could have loved better, but I honestly loved the best I could.
