!RESIST!

James 4:7 (English Standard Version – ESV):

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

According to writers, resistance means to “withstand, strive against, or oppose in some manner.”

Resistance can be both defensive or offensive, but in all cases, it involves submitting to God.

Resistance & Cyber-Security principles are married.

Ephesians 6:10-13 (HCSB): “Finally, be strengthened by the LORD and by His vast strength. Put on the full armor of GOD so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. This is why you must take up the full armor of GOD, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.”

Within this Scripture, verse 12, states, “For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.”

In a recent cyber-attack on T-Mobile in 2024, flesh & blood is represented by the group “Salt Typhoon” which is linked to the Chinese government. However . . .

The actual battle is not against flesh & blood (“Salt Typhoon”), “but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.”

Is T-Mobile at fault? Is the United States Government at fault in some way? Maybe, however, the real blame falls squarely on the “spiritual forces of evil”.

As the transformation of Paul, from Saul, is demonstrated in Acts 9, the human element involved in the T-Mobile attack, is really not the issue. Until Paul, received the Holy Spirit, he was always going to be Saul. The transformation takes place through spiritual means, not physical ones.

In reality, the “Salt Typhoon” group can be split up & reorganized with new human actors. Salt Typhoon, is just one of many Chinese threat actors, with others being “Volt Typhoon” & “Flax Typhoon”.

While the human element should still be considered a viable cyber threat, the threat is not actually ever truly eliminated until the “spiritual forces of evil in the heavens” are removed. This will not happen, while Earth as we know it remains.

God will make “all things new” but that time is not yet.

Today, the task is to begin preparing the castle walls from the Chinese-government threat actors that have clearly made themselves known, in three-recent attacks on our critical & necessary physical infrastructures & logical networks.
