Starting The Marriage Process & Moving-In (11/ 12/2024)

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35 (NASB)

My last post was on the 8th of November. I essentially took the weekend off.

Today, I donated some of my belongings to Goodwill. I have moved so much that most of my belongings over my life end up leaving my hands and ending up in someone else’s.t

I am thankful for anyone who donates their belongings to thrift stores. There is a possibility it has blessed someone like me, who could not afford to buy it new.

In reality, moving sucks. It used to feel like an adventure. Now that I am older, I long for somewhere to stay.

Yesterday, Yuni & I started filling out the forms we need to get married. As this is not our first marriage, we decided to make the process streamlined & efficient. We are getting married in the courthouse & then we will do a celebration for our loved ones in the next few months, giving everyone time to plan.

Despite moving, I still have managed to accomplish some educational goals. I made a solid three hours of study towards Comptia ITF+. In all honesty, it is nice to use this as a refresher. The certification course I am taking is giving a nice overview of several areas of IT, from basic networking (protocols like HTTPS, FTP and the OSI model layers) to basic databases & programming.

I am heavily debating whether to jump straight into the Security+ certification or first get the Comptia A+. Technically, on Monday (11/11) I got officially accepted into WGU’s Master in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance degree program.

I will create a separate post series diving into the details of this program & documenting my progress on it in more detail.
